A Life Changing Moment

~~I had a life changing, mind altering, soul shaking moment about a month and a half ago (no, it wasn’t an orgasm lol) It was something better. It was God and my Mom giving me the clearest message I have ever heard. 

~~So, on this particular morning, I was severely depressed because of all the things I couldn’t do. All my limitations were weighing me down. I went outside to the beach and cried and cried. I was tired of having Lupus, tired of having Fibromyalgia. I was tired of struggling to get through a day. I was tired from all the pain. As I looked out at the ocean and started listening I could hear the waves crashing. I started to pray. 

~~God’s message was loud and clear. I had to stop trying to change what could not be changed. He said to me “Focus on the things you can change.” And then my Mom’s voice said “God is right, Mija. Focus on who you surround yourself with, focus on the positive. If you no longer like what’s surrounding you, change your surroundings.” 

~~And, so to my new page, I want to help others like me who have no interest in life to find beauty and purpose again. It can be found even with Lupus. God can do the miraculous. We just have to believe.   #LupusMariposa®
